Quit4Life provides an NHS stop smoking service across Hampshire, with the exception of the unitary authorities of Southampton and Portsmouth.
Our FREE service is provided by professional stop smoking advisers who are committed to helping smokers quit. Quit4Life advisers have wide experience of helping people to quit smoking and understand the difficulties as well as the support required to be successful. It is the power of our positive attitude that drives our success, and smokers who receive support from Quit4Life are FOUR times more likely to kick the habit than if they try to quit alone.
Smokers can choose from a number of support options, including informal DROP-IN SESSIONS at times and locations all over Hampshire, WORKPLACE PROGRAMMES and our very successful TELEPHONE QUIT PROGRAMME. In addition, many pharmacies offer one-to-one appointments – look out for the Quit4Life sign on the door – and your GP surgery may offer appointments with a member of their team who is a trained stop smoking adviser.
Our stop smoking support is friendly, non-judgemental and informal. Feedback from ex-smokers who have attended face-to-face sessions show that they appreciate both the support from the advisers and the chance to share tips with others they meet at the sessions. Those who would find it difficult to attend regular sessions, either in the community or at their workplace, can enrol on our Telephone Quit Programme. Please contact us for more details.
